How fast to grow the team?
When to hire team lead/scrum master?
Are there any valuable experiences people can share from their own experience of transitioning from outsource to in-house? Does anyone have any online case studies to share?
To ensure that the advice given here is relevant, I have also detailed some key facts about the current state of the company:
2 year old startup developing a SaaS product for corporate clients – currently 14 clients
Started with outsource company to build the product and they now handle technical development, operational support and service help desk.
The outsource dev team is 4x dev + 3x qa + scrum master
The outsource support team is 3x sysadmin + 1x devops + 2x dev (hotfixes) + 2x qa + delivery manager
The decision is to move at least the development team in-house but also consider move operations and support as a well.
